How do i change the motor for my power windows on a 93 ford thunderbird?

it has never been done before. i hear something about having to %26quot;knock%26quot; the rivets off before this can be done. step by step instructions would be helpful. i have the door panel off already|||If all you are going to change is just the electric motor you don%26#039;t have to work nearly that hard. Since you have the panel off have someone hold the glass up or tape it in place. Look at the metal where the motoris mounted and you will see there are three dimples. Drill the dimples at least with a 1/2%26quot; bit and you will find the screws in ther that hold the motor to the regulator. Again, this is only if the electric motor is bad and the regulator is ok.|||yes ,i own a repair shop, and you have to drill the heads off the factory rivets to get the original one off,and once this is done you can remove it,,its better to take the glass out ,,so its not in the way it gives you more room to work,,then you can just wiggle it out of there,,the new one goes back in the same way,and you can buy those rivets,,or use small short bolts to put it in with,,either one works fine,,other than that ,this isn%26#039;t too bad of a job,,take your time with it,,and don%26#039;t get in a hurry,,and you,ll do fine,,good luck hope this help,s.,,PS auto zone or advance can order you this part, and have it over night.,,or go to www.autopartswarehouse.com..they will have it,,but it take s few days to get it from the,.
