How to change the power window motor for 1997 Chevy Astro?

Do i need special tools|||There are special tools to make the job easier but you can do it without, it%26#039;ll just take a little more cursing.

Remove the inner door liner, look all around for screws along the bottom, look up at an angle around the arm rest, there will be 1 big screw there. Once all the screws are off, start prying off this liner, feeling for where the pressure plugs are, pry off with 2 screw drivers on either side of each plug so it doesn%26#039;t tear the liner. Remove the plastic, don%26#039;t worry about the glue you can put it back with tape. You will need to remove two nuts that hold the window scissor to the bottom rail of the window. Next support the window so it doesn%26#039;t fall, use a screwdriver from one of the top holes. You will now need to drill out the factory rivets that hold the motor %26amp; scissor assembly. Replace with 1/4%26quot; bolt and nuts. If you are replacing because the old one doesn%26#039;t work, try opening the old one first, you may find thermal cut off strips are failing. Just put some solder over them to cancel their function (but you didn%26#039;t hear it from me). I%26#039;ve done it without problems.|||I thought these questions are about Toyotas not Chevys.
