How to change a window motor in a Chevy Van G 20?

you need to remove the door panel from the door that needs the new motor. unplug the old motor. the old motor will be riveted in you will need to drill out the rivets and then reach in and remove the old. pay attention to how it comes out the new one needs to go back the same way.|||not that hard.. remove door handles and any scrws you can see in door... with a small screwdrive or something flat pry lightly a round edges of door panel remove bolts and or nuts from motor and pull it out|||being careful and have a box of band aids readily handy cause you will cut your hands and arms. i am small and i get cut doing these vans. first pull off you door panel. and you will have to unbolt the window regulator and remove it but don%26#039;t let your window fall it will shatter of course. then put a pair of vise grips on the window regulator and motor assembly to hold the two of them together or a bench vise. cause when you unbolt the motor the regulator is spring loaded and spring back possibly causing harm to you or your helpers. i have been hit with one in the hip and it did crack my hip. if it doesn%26#039;t have bolts it will have rivets and they need to be drilled out and then hit with a punch after drilling. once you replace motor unclamp your vise grips or remove it from bench vise and then simply reinstall it is a tight fit inside your door and you will see why i say have band aids ready. good luck and happy wrenching.
