I have a 1987 monte carlo ss and over the years the power window motor has been wore out and barely works now so I%26#039;m going to replace it. I took the door panel off and the window is up, what do I need to do to install the new one?|||the motor is usually riveted to the door so you will need to drill or grind off the old rivets and when you replace the new motor you will need to mount it with new screws or nuts and bolts.|||You have to reach in the door and find out how the motor is connected. Take the nut or bolt or screw or whatever hold the motor steady off, disconnect electrical wires, take motor out and put new one in. It is really working by feel in the blind. If you%26#039;re good with a mirror you can use one.
