92 Crown Victoria Question Help?

The windows in the car werent rolling up or down. I changed the motors but the motors seem to be working fine. SO it is not the motor that is the problem. When Itook apart the window assemply I noticed the wire was all chewed up and frayed. So my question is .. can that single wire be replaced or do I need to get a complete Dorman Window Regulator ( I think that is the part) ..If there away to re do the wire are there any instructions on how to re do the wire online or anything?

If you've not worked on wiring problems before it might be best to go to a big do it yourself auto wreckers and pull a regulator out of one.Plus they'd not ask much for a used one anyways.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if you go to a good car parts outlet and already have the door panel etc off the car they might show you how to fix the wiring or fix it on the spot for you either for free or very cheap.

find a guy who has a soldering gun and have him fix the wire.
need window regulator
Unfortunately you need to replace the regulator. By the time you get frustrated with trying to repair the old one you are well ahead to just get a new one. the job is not that hard at all but I do stress to you to take your time and watch the sharp edges.
